A lady identified as Temitope Bukola has narrated how her 18 year old staff who was raped by a delivery agent was asked by policewomen at the police station if she did not enjoy it.
The victim was said to have been raped by a delivery man who went to pick up from a shop after the accused rapist found that the 18 year old was alone.
The lady who verified the news of the rape on Twitter, said the victim is indeed her staff. She narrated how they have met dead ends everywhere they took the matter to. She said the hospital staff at LUTH who are supposed to administer PEP said they could not do it since charges were being pressed.
Similarly, at the police station where she and the raped victim had gone to file a rape report, she was told repeatedly that the DPO was busy and couldn’t attend to them. Not only that, the policewomen at the police station who should be concerned and ought to spring to action, were busy asking irrelevant questions. She said “The police women at Sabo police station said and I quote ‘you sure say you no enjoy am?’ to a traumatized 18yr old girl that had just been raped!
The police women at Ilaje police station in Bariga said and I quote ‘you sef fit be say you enjoy am because you suppose shout”’
The police who were supposed to be a source of security and hope for the young teenager were the ones who were almost subtly taunting her for her ugly predicament.
