Popular Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy has stated that Shatta Wale and himself have demonstrated that they have risen above the brawl that occurred at the 20th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards humbly asking the government to look at the issue again and drop the case.
According to him, he and Shatta Wale have quashed their beef and are willing to unite Ghanaian youth further asking the government to drop the lawsuit against them.
“We have lived by example. We are still hoping that the government would issue a Nolle prosequi by the Attorney-General because we have led by example to be honest,” Stonebwoy said.
He pleaded with the government to drop the case “so we can continue our work…unifying the masses,” and they do not want such a dent on their names.
Answering a question on if he was disappointed that he was arrested after the incident, Stonebwoy said that, “I wasn’t disappointed.”
Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale are both charged with offensive conduct conducive to breach of peace, while Stonebwoy is facing another charge of displaying a weapon in public place without permission.
The Adjabeng Magistrate Court presided over by Mr. Isaac Addo, has fixed October 9, 2019, to commence the trial in the case.
