PICTURES: 2 boys arrested for Selling human parts

The Ashanti regional Police Command has arrested two boys who were engaged in the trading human parts at Offinso in the Offinso South Municipality.

Chief Superintendent Ben Wonkyi revealed to Media that suspect Osei Amponsah Klinsman aka Benzima 24, and his accomplice Nana Yaw Sarfo aka Makosa 18, were arrested at Offinso Kokote while trying to sell human parts off to a plain clothed policeman who had been trailing them all this while.

According to him, the two including a third person, Nana Kwame, said to be on the run were alleged to be involved in cyber fraud otherwise known as Sakawa and therefore sold body parts to their colleagues who needed them for rituals.

Their modus operandi was to exhume buried bodies from cemeteries within the locality and take some parts including skulls which they sold at throat-cutting prices to their clients within and outside the Offinso Municipality.

After understudying their mode of operations, an investigator who posed as Pastor expressed interest in buying a human skull and other body parts which they expressed readiness to supply at a fee.

He arrived at the scene and after being shown the human parts, and later signaled his uniformed colleagues on standby who arrested all two except the third suspect, who managed to escape.

Chief Superintendent Ben Wonkyi disclosed that the matter is still under investigation and the suspects could soon be arraigned before court on various charges
