The President of the Republic, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has of today after delivery the State of the Nations Address in parliament heads to the New Patriotic Party’s Headquarters at Asylum Down, to file his nomination ahead of the conduct of the NPP Presidential primary.
The President made this official statement on his social media handle (facebook) as quoted below:
“On Thursday, 20th February, 2020, after delivering the Message on the State of the Nation, I went to the headquarters of the New Patriotic Party, at Asylum Down, to file my nomination ahead of the conduct of the presidential primary.
I told the gathering that the selection of my running mate “is not a matter that needs any consideration. Once I am selected as flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will certainly be the one I will be running with.”
Per Ghanawish.com checks, it seems the president who is seeking re-election for the second term will go unopposed in the upcoming NPP Presidential and Parliamentary Primaries for incumbent MPs scheduled for April 25, 2020.
