‘Patronize Eku Juice, It’s Purely Pineapple’-Matilda Emi To Ghananians

The Marketing and Sales Director of the Ekumfi Fruit and Juice Limited, Matilda Emi has urged Ghanaians to patronize Eku Juice under the government’s One District One Factory (1D1F) programme, Ekumfi Fruits and Juice Limited.

In an exclusive interview with Lawyer Ohene Gyan on Pae Mu Ka on Accra based Kingdom FM 107.7, she indicated that “the advantage of we growing pineapple in Ekumfi and processing it into juice is to enable everyone within the nation and beyond to benefit from it”

According the Marketing and Sales Director, the nicely package pineapple ‘Eku Juice’ has been welcomed and received by Ghanaians because it is purely pineapple and has no preservatives as others have.

The Pineapple Juice from the Ekumfi Juice Factory under One District One factory has been on sale since last year. The nicely packaged pineapple ‘Eku Juice’ can be compared to those imported into the country. This juice is not from concentrates as the others are.

“So far so good it’s a nice product in the system and people themselves have welcomed and received the product already”.It is purely pineapple, no additive, no preservative, no water, no sugar, it’s just the juice”.

She therefore urged Ghanaians to patronize Ghana-made products since it is of good quality. The Ekumfi Juice Factory is the biggest pineapple juice processing factory in West Africa with the capacity to produce about 300,000,000 packs of juice annually for the local and export market and also generates close to GH₵530 million in revenue.

Commenting on the ‘Results Fair’ project organized by the Nana Addo led-government through the Ministry of Monitoring and Evaluation, Matilda Emi noted, ‘the Result fair generally, is really good and amazing because few people are saying they are not aware of the Eku Juice product but at least an occasion like this has created an awareness of the product.’

She urged for the organization of such programmes more often.
