According to One of the few survivors of the gory Kintampo-Tamale highway gory accident has told JoyNews in an interview that other motorists refused to come to their aid moments after the accident. Speaking with much emotions and tears, the pregnant survivor while the trapped victims screamed from the burning vehicles, she and other survivors made it to the side of the road to get help.
In a vivid account of what actually happened on that fateful day, the lady who was travelling on the Yutong bus said the driver fell asleep behind the wheel.
According to her, when the bus veered off its lane into the other, the driver of the approaching Sprinter vehicle tried to avoid the collision by heading for the bush but did not happen as the collision eventually happened, sending the two buses into flames, burning 30 people to their death.
The lady said she and the others were able to escape when a young lady broke a window, giving them the opportunity to escape.
