Over 49,000 Nation Builders’ Corps (NABCo) beneficiaries, according to President Akufo-Addo, have been incorporated into the country’s public sector or have become entrepreneurs after earning the necessary experience.
He stated more young graduates will benefit from the program, speaking on Kumasi’s Ash FM as part of his tour to the Ashanti Region.
“To date, 49,000 people have moved on to permanent jobs or started their own businesses. That’s nearly half of the people who will benefit.”
“We expect to add a lot more people to the program in the coming days.”
NABCO
Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo established the NABCo program in 2018 to employ 100,000 unemployed graduates.
The program has seven modules that are designed to fulfill the nation’s pressing requirements while also creating jobs for the teeming youth who have completed tertiary education but are having difficulty finding work.
The awardees were paid a monthly stipend of GH700 for a three-year contract.
Feed Ghana, Educate Ghana, Revenue Ghana, Heal Ghana, Enterprise Ghana, Digitize Ghana, and Governance Ghana are the modules included.
