Only NPP Takes Loans To Develop Places Party Got 0% Votes – Kennedy Agyapong

Kennedy Agyapong, The Assin Central Member of Parliament, is dissatisfied with his party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Agyapong is concerned about the NPP’s sanctimonious politics, in which the party focuses on development in places where it does not receive any votes.

He focused on roads in particular, ‘chastising’ the Roads Minister for obtaining loans to create infrastructure in areas where his party is not ‘welcome’ politically.

He claims that the majority of the votes he lost in the past election were due to the party’s failure to build roads, claiming that this failure cost the party a lot of votes in the Central Region.

“The reason I lost votes (in the 2020 elections) is because the roads in my area were not fixed. Roads were to blame for all of our big losses in the Central Region. They have every right to vote against us because not a single major road has been repaired.

“I have a problem with Amoako-Atta because, while he is taking loans to develop locations, he remains silent on the Accra-Winneba road…

When he appeared on Net2 TV’s Morning Show during the week, Agyapong observed, “Look at the traffic.”

“Amoako-Atta loves his neighbors but hates himself; because of places where he has taken loans to build bridges and other things, we will vote against the NPP if you are not careful.” You abandon places where you may vote for yourself in order to please others.

“The NPP borrows loans to develop roads in areas where the party received 0% of the vote and then abandons us, and then you come to question why we lost the Central Region.” They (the government) treat us with contempt. What kind of policy is this, where you love your neighbor but despise yourself?” Agyapong was enraged.
