A young man named Kofi Agyiri, a resident of Winneba has been seriously injured while two others have been severely beaten by three men after they questioned why their attackers were removing posters of the NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Effutu, Dr. James Kofi Annan.
An eye witness told Kasapa News Yaw Boagyan that the victims were walking by the roadside when they saw three strong men suspected to be NPP supporters pulling down the posters from the wall.
The victims questioned why they were pulling down the posters, but that harmless question was answered with severe beatings. One of the victims had his head hit with a broken bottle badly injuring him in the process while the two others were severely beaten.
With blood oozing from the head, the victim was rushed to the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital for treatment.
A case has been filed with the police but an arrest is yet to be made.
