The Member of Parliament(MP) for Ningo Prampram, Sam Narty George has alleged that the New Patriotic Party(NPP) in Akuapem North is producing special health Insurance cards for party faithful.
According to the lawmaker, this comes as a shock because the President and his political party insist they have fixed the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).
His post said: “So as we all discuss Covid-19, our health delivery sector comes under close scrutiny. The Nana Addo led NPP government claims to have fixed all the problems with the National Health Insurance Scheme. They claim they have paid all the outstanding debt and the scheme is buoyant”.
He quizzed on whether members of the NPP were more human than other Ghanaians to have that special treatment whiles other Ghanaians suffer from the mismanagement of the NHIS.
“Let me ask the President and his Party why then are they producing special health access cards for their party faithful? Does it mean that those of us who are not card bearing members of the NPP are no longer Ghanaian enough? This is extremely worrying? All well meaning Ghanaians must demand answers from the NPP as to when the rest of us would also get the health access cards they are sharing to their people. Pray for the Republic and stay safe people. We are NOT in normal times.”
