Member of Parliament (MP) for Tamale Central and Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu has accused the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) of being insensitive to Ghanaians’ predicament.
He claims that the NPP government’s insistence on imposing the contentious e-levy demonstrates its insensitivity.
Mr Iddrisu said the NPP government is oblivious to Ghanaians’ plight and the country’s democracy during a press conference after the Parliamentary sessions on Monday.
“They are insensitive to the pain of Ghanaians, to public opinion, and to real concerns made about the need to protect our digital economy and to consult more,” he said.
He went on to say that while the NPP was in opposition, it protested a tax suggested by the former President.
