Popular Kumawood actor Michael Afrane has expressed his disappointment in his fellow actors over their rejection and for not checking on him when he was battling with his life.
Michael Afrane was one of the leading actors in the early 90s and 2000. Michael acted in movies alongside Nana Ama McBrown, Agya Koo, Kwaku Mamu, Paa George, Akrobeto, Mercy Aseidu, Kyeiwaa, and many others.
Michael Afrane has been off the movies scene for some years. The actor who is now hale and hearty has come out to express his disappointment with his fellow actors. According to him, none of his colleagues called to ask about his well-being during his difficult moment.
Narrating the ordeal, he spoke to Youtuber Paupaushew TV on “Wonkyi Ni sen”, he said that when he felt sick, he announced it on his social media pages where his fans and loved ones would see it. He disclosed that he received calls from loved ones and some of his fans but surprisingly, none of his colleagues in the movie industry called or check up on him while he was hospitalized.
When asked if he communicated his aliment to his colleagues, he said, “I am not a child. Yes, I did. I was too weak to talk even on phone so I made my wife chat with some of them and up till now, none of them has replied. I do not know if they have conspired to neglect me or something but what I know is that the unity they are always preaching is not what they practice among themselves.”
“That is the main reason why Kumawood could not revive again after its failure. Nobody cares. It is like God for us all, each one for himself.”
