“NO GOV’T CAN REGULATE CHURCHES IN GHANA..HOUSE PARLIAMENT SHOULD BE CAREFUL” – APOSTLE AGYENIM

Founder and leader for Power Word Ministry International, a charismatic church headquartered at Buokrom A-line of Ashanti region Apostle Agyenim Boateng has cautioned Parliamentarians to refrain from pushing government to regulate the operations of Churches in Ghana.

According to the outspoken Kumasi based Apostle cum Prophet , members of the house of Parliament advocating for government’s supervision are skating on thin ice and that any failure on their part to rescend their descision will provoke the wrath of God against them.

He explained that their (Parliamentarians) call is synonymous to waging war against Churches in Ghana, topping up that whoever fights against a church through the implementation of unfriendly policies is indirectly fighting against God.

He strongly defended that reported ministerial blunders committed by some false prophets in Ghana as in the commercialisation of the Gospel plus other unthinkable happenings does not necessitate the regulation of churches by government.

Apostle Agyenim Boateng set the record straight during a dialogue with this journalist that the affairs of God cannot in any way be controlled by the state.

“Regulating the affairs of the Church and for that matter God by any government will be impossible. I want to make it clear to politicians that they can’t fight God’s battle for him and if they attempt fighting the Church they will end up fighting God”.

“The fact that some denominations have gone wayward does not mean that all churches are on the same path. There are still genuine Men of God in Ghana” he disclosed.

Apostle Agyenim Boateng expressed provocations over why government’s attention has always been on Churches in Ghana more than other religious bodies as though all churches are involved in corrupt practices.

Some where last year, officials of GRA annouced their descision to impose the payment of taxes on Churches.

This was followed by a strong opposition to President Akufo Addo’s descision to put up a national cathedral for Christians.

For Apostle Agyenim Boateng, the foregoing should be a wake up call to all Christians and Men of God.

“We all have to as a matter of urgency interceed for the survival of churches in Ghana so that all evil policiee concieved by any unseen hand in the house of Parliament against the growth of the Church will be aborted”, he advised.

“I laughed it off when I heard Parliamentarians describing some churches as “one-man church. It sounds so interesting.

Who can identify any Church in Ghana which never commenced operation as a one-man church.

Methodist Church which was founded by John Wesley started as a one-man church, Pentescost started operating as a one-man church through the hands of Apostle McKeown not to talk of Jehovah Witness, Anglican, Presbyterian Church among other renowned denominations” he stated.

Regulation of the affairs of Churches in Ghana he advised should be left in the hands of the Christian Council of Ghana and not government or politicians.

“Most of them are not deep in the things of the spirit. They just can’t regulate the affairs of the Holy Spirit”, he indicated.
