A trader, who spoke with Global FM News, said she and other traders whose stalls had been demolished to make way for the new market complex could not understand why the new stores, though completed, continue to remain closed for all these years.
“We do not understand why there are shops built purposely to house us while we continue to trade in the open and always at the mercy of the weather. Some of us have been plying our trade in this market for the past ten years but there is no significant improvement in the way things are done here” she said.
The traders have thus pleaded with the Assembly and other stakeholders to come to their aid and address their concerns as a matter of urgency.
