The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Women’s Organizer for Amasaman Constituency, Hajia Salamatu Musah has called on the NDC to give the Electoral Commission (EC) the space to conduct the 2020 elections.
The NPP Communicator says the Commission has proven its worth and there is no cause for alarm as far as its ability to conduct credible elections is concerned.
“I believe the Electoral Commission should be left in peace to do its work, this harassment is not necessary,” Hajia Salamatu Musah told Accra-based Kingdom FM
“So why do we sit in IPAC and confer with the Electoral Commission and our peers in IPAC and then we come out and do manifestations and other things and say it is our way or it is the highway. If we don’t have our way then nobody must have his way, I mean it really doesn’t help anybody,” She added
According to her, the incessant demonstrations by the NDC against the electoral commission will not enhance the electioneering process or inure to the benefit of the country.
She urged the opposition political parties to use the Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) to have their concerns addressed.
