The long period of suffering which the nation had to endure as a result of the “Dumsor”crisis in the NDC era and the quick end to the challenge brought about by the NPP has been likened to the power light has over darkness as stated in John 1 Verse 15.
Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, who made the Biblical analogy was referring to the ability of the NPP’s government to quickly end the energy crisis to relieve Ghanaians of a huge burden that made life very difficult for both domestic and commercial users of electricity.
Chairman Wontumi made the inference when he was contributing to the usual early morning political analysis programme on Wontumi TV/Radio hosted by Oheneba Nana Asiedu on Monday
His tirade was directly targeted at Mr John Mahama. He said the former President’s middle name, “Dramani”, which starts with the letter “D” has to be substituted with “Dumsor” because that is what “he is famously associated with.”
“Mahama created a problem of darkness but Nana Addo was able to overcome it with the restoration of light as a solution . This separated the two personalities -one representing light and the other darkness.” He explained…
According to Chairman Wontumi, the desperate quest by John Mahama to come back to power means “he wants to bring back the forbidden “dumsor” so he could have a way to amass ill gotten wealth.
“Looking at the situation currently, John Mahama’ awesome wealth which was accrued at the expense of the people of Ghana during his presidency is diminishing so fast that he wants a way to replenish it. This explains why he is so desperate to come back to power.” He lamented.
He continued, ” Mahama views the presidency as a safe haven to loot state resources and share it among his siblings.”
Chairman Wontumi alleged that, “Mr Mahama’s personality is riddled with several corruption cases” and suggested that this should be of concern to all well-meaning Ghanaians
He recallled that, “At time he was in power, his brother, Ibrahim Mahama, was using two private jets but miraculously, the two aircraft disappeared immediately after John Mahama’s electoral defeat.’
Chairman Wontumi challenged Ibrahim to produce the receipts covering the fees he paid for the parking space he utilized for the long time that the two jets were parked on the apron area of the airport.
“I strongly suspect that the two private jets belong to the former President and not his junior brother and that is why it was handed a special parking reservation right at the national airport.” He said.
The Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman is convinced that “John Mahama is involved in several alleged cases of corruption and that every sector suffered from corruption under his watch” .
He therefore challenged those who have become very critical of the current government’s achievements including the clergy not to be quiet about the Airbus and guinea fowls scandals.
These high profile cases need to be given prominence “because they constitute part of John Mahama’s reckless acts of corruption that have created a big embarrassment for the country..”
