President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is a matured and good leader and is fixing the country, a former deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has emphatically stated.
Mr. Koku Anyidoho openly called for calm in an interview on Wontumi Tv and advised the conveners of #FixTheCountry to keep tabs of the good works of President Akufo-Addo rather than go after his throat.
Mr. Anyidoho described President Akufo-Addo as someone who is fixing Ghana and not sleeping on his job.
In the midst of harsh calls on his government to fix the country, Mr. Anyidoho pointed out that he is happy at the calm posture exhibited by President Akufo-Addo.
Mr. Koku Anyidoho advised organizers of the protest to take into consideration that the current government is not operating at 100% capacity and needs some time to settle.
According to him, in 2009, the late former President John Evans Atta Mills was calm and composed when Akufo-Addo as a Presidential candidate called on him to fix Ghana.
“In 2009, Akufo-Addo told President Atta-Mills to fix the economy and Mills never responded to it publicly. As this one (#FixTheCountry) started, he (Akufo-Addo) hasn’t spoken and it is a sign of maturity and good leadership. Mills dealt with the issue by doing what he can only do”, Mr. Anyidoho said.
He was optimistic that President Akufo-Addo has heard the calls on him to fix the country and would do that.
