Kwame Baffoe, chairman of the NPP’s Bono region, also known as Abronye DC, has voiced his dissatisfaction with his economic situation after the election of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as president.
In spite of his best efforts and the fact that he earned some enemies along the way, he claims that the President who has been in office throughout his time has not been fair to him or provided him with possibilities to improve his life.
Therefore, he has no intention of voting for anybody who receives the President’s endorsement, since if elected, that person would ignore him just as Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has.
Abronye, in an interview on Accra’s Hot FM, said that persons who did not share the President’s agenda had been promoted and offered new opportunities while he himself remains mired in obscurity.
Even more concerning is the fact that in his attempt to assist Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to become president, he has made enemies for himself, and these opponents are now the decision-makers in the president’s administration.
“Nana Addo cannot tell me who to support. I won’t even listen to him.
“People who used to insult him and say he cannot be President are better people than I am since he came to power,” he said.
Adding that “some of these people are now Chief Executives, Deputy Ministers and Ministers and they are not supporting me because of some exchange of words I had with them because of Nana Addo. Whoever will come and tell me Nana Addo says we should vote for this or that I will spit in your face,” he told Hot FM in an interview.
