Mugabe Maase Goes Mad, Insults Koku Anyidoho After Wontumi Support

One person who remains pained that the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party has pledged to donate 1000 bags of cements for the refurbishment of the Asomdwee park, is Mugabe Maase.

The radio presenter on his show went mad and insulted Koku Anyidoho for seeking government’s support to restructure the Asomdwee park.

Addressing the issue which was monitored by Wontumionline.com, Mugabe Maase noted that “I will not mention your name. you know youself, you have a very big stomach. Just because you lost an election in the NDC you have turned against the party. I Mugabe I will serve the NDC so that when I am dead and gone, they will take care of my family. You have trained us and we will unleash that fire on you. This nonsense must stop. You walk with your stomach, your heavy stomach… you need food so you want an appointment from President Akufo-Addo. We have your recordings and all the things you have said, I will play them one by one”.

In a related development, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has pledged to support Koku Anyidoho with 1000 bags of cement to help in the reconstruction of Asomdwee park.

The late former President John Evans Atta-Mills was buried at the Asomdwee park under former President John Mahama.

However, the negligence of John Mahama, a man who took over from John Evans Atta-Mills, has made the place an eyesore.

The park is in a sorry state and needs to be reconstructed. A member of the National Democratic Congress and the person leading the advocacy to get the place in better condition is Koku Anyidoho, a man who served as Director of Communication under the late former President John Mills.

His plea has been heard and it has taken the leadership of the New Patriotic Party and its key member, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako aka Chairman Wontumi to turn refurbishment of the Asomdwee park into a reality.

Speaking on the Wontumi Morning Show, Koku Anyidoho broke down in tears whilst he was appealing for funds. This touched the heart of Chairman Wontumi who stated on air that he was going to support the project with 1000 bags of cement.

Mr. Anyidoho praised the Ashanti regional Chairman for his gesture and remarked that he has shown political party affiliation can’t divide us as Ghanaians.

He also used the Wontumi platform to appeal to members of the public to support the Atta-Mills Institute with materials to elevate the resting place of late President.

Last Friday, a sod was cut to transform the Asomdwee park into a place suitable of the late President, who ruled Ghana from January 7, 2009 until his sudden death on July 24, 2012.

The GHc4.4-million Asomdwee Park Redevelopment Project, which is expected to be completed within the next six months, will involve general maintenance of the park, refurbishment of dilapidated buildings and the provision of drainage infrastructure.

Other works include the construction of a mast and a protective wall and the laying of new pavement.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Coastal Development Authority (CODA), Mr Jerry Ahmed Shaib, announced this at a commemorative event by the Atta-Mills Institute to mark the eighth anniversary of the death of the former President in Accra.
