A 4-year-old girl whose name was only given as Maadwoa has met her untimely death after receiving severe beatings from her stepmother.
The unfortunate incident is said to have happened at Pokuase, a suburb in Accra.
Adom FM Morning show, Chief Jerry Forson who was present at the scene give vivid details of what really caused the young girl to lose her life at the hands of her stepmother.
Chief Jerry Forson spoke to the Nkusuohene who narrated that he received a complaint from a concerned resident about what the young girl has been going through at the hands of her father and stepmother.
He went to the father of the child and spoke to him together with the stepmother to take things easy with the child.
According to the Nkosuohene, the mother who’s now in the grips of the Police didn’t heed the advice of the Nkosuohene and continued beating her stepdaughter until she passed away yesterday.
The Nkosuohene after hearing of the bad news rushed to the house of the deceased but her father took to his heels upon seeing the chief at his house. He’s currently on the run whiles the Police are waiting for a family member to be present before they can proceed to take the deceased to the morgue.
