According to the Member of Parliament for Suame, Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu who is also the Majority leader and the Minister in charge of Parliamentary Business has re-emphasized that funds for the Suame Interchange project have already been approved by Parliament and currently ready for construction to begin.
Hon Mensah Bonsu’s admission is immediate aftermath of the President’s assurance made on OTEC FM on Monday that the huge funds needed for the NPP’s signature project is has been made available.
He also re-echoed the name of the contractor tasked to execute the project which he named as Messrs Rango and DIZMAR
Hon. Kyei Mensah said in an interview with Wontuminews that the contractors will first of all start with the ancillary roads network which traverse several parts of Kumasi before commencing works on the main edifice.
He advised people in the catchment area, particularly those who operate various forms of businesses including those at the Suame Magazine to bear with the contractors when they start the project with its accompanying hazards.
The Suame MP is hopeful that the interchange when constructed will ease traffic in Kumasi-main, Suame, Tafo and its adjoining communities.
