Mohammed Salisu Rejects Black Stars Call Up Again

Mohammed Salisu, a Southampton defender, has reportedly turned down a call-up by the Black Stars to play against Nigeria in the FIFA World Cup playoffs.

Salisu, who initially accepted the invitation, is said to have changed his mind and will not be part of the Super Eagles’ soon-to-be-announced team.

His decision is claimed to be based on the GFA granting his youth club, Creative Soccer, permission to challenge the player’s status.

Before being transferred to Real Valladolid in Spain, Creative Soccer claimed the player was incorrectly signed by African Talents.

Despite the fact that Creative Soccer lost the lawsuit, the club has chosen to pursue all legal options to prove that the player was illegally floated from their club to join Africa Talent.

Salisu believes the FA should have rejected the case instead of allowing Creative Socer to appeal a decision that had already harmed his career.

As a result, unless there is a quick change of heart, the athlete has declined the Black Stars once more.

Despite the Super Eagles declaring their team a few weeks ago, head coach Otto Addo has failed to declare his squad for the match against Nigeria.
