MCE for Lower Manya Krobo Municipality has officially break grounds for construction of a health facility at Wawase in the middle belt of the Municipality in the Eastern region.
Wawase Community Chiefs and elders from all the surrounding communities will benefit from the health centre when completed.
Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh in his brief speech after the sod cutting ceremony assured the gathering of his commitment to transform the rural communities in the middle belt of his Municipality into an urban settlement by the end of his term in office.
The MCE expressed his regards to the Community, Wawase is currently having a solar powered mechanised borehole with Overhead Poly tank, Rural electrification project and now a modern health facility to help proper health care.
Oborpah Djikiti is part of middle belt will seeing both their health centre and KG Block which is been constructed by the Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Assembly in partnership with a Non-governmental organisation, Pencil of Promise which are both at the finishing stages commissioned soon as part of the Rural belt transformation aganda.
For the good people of Wawase to have quality for money service, the project will be duly monitored under the Ghana Strengthening and Accountability Mechanisms (GSAM) project which is facilitated in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality by YOWE to help the residence have much say about issues regarding the project.
Within this Projects, Mr. Kwaku Tetteh supported Twelve thousand (Gh¢12,000), subsidiary organic fertilizer from the ministry of food and agriculture to distribute to Farmers under the planting for food and jobs programs.
