Day in and out we have been hearing news about someone defrauding someone but I think some people are not taking lessons out of this.
Two Liberian who claims are money doublers have defrauded a man taking his GH¢ 1000 promising they would double it making GH¢3000 at CP Last stop- Kasoa ,Central Region.
“I am an IT personnel in charge of advertisement in one of the electrical appliances company in Dansoman Accra-Ghana,and this is how it all started.
One Thursday I was a work when two men who claim they are from Liberia and they are money doublers,they called me and asked me to bring 20cedis they will double it for me, I brought is out and truly it was doubled. I got interested and took their numbers. I called them the following day(Friday) and they asked me to meet them at Sunson City Restaurant and Guest house located at CP Last stop- Kasoa Central region, I meet them they asked me to bring money, I was holding One Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢1000) and I wanted Three Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢ 3000) ,I sent the money to the place, they took the money for about 30 minutes I don’t know what they where doing on it ,later they gave me the money and asked me to come the following day (Saturday).
I wanted to sleep but I changed my mind and went back to Dansoman .
The next day(Saturday) I went back to the restaurant and I met them there. They took the money and asked me to wait, It was late I can’t go back home so I had to lodge at the guest house till the next morning(Sunday).
Finally it Sunday I’m very happy waiting for my GH¢ 3000 I tried to call the first man but his phone is switched off , so I called the second man he was not picking up the calls.
I became confused and I decided to collect a prepaid vendors available at the same locality’s phone to make the call, the first man phone was still Off so I tried the second man he answered and told me he had argue with his brother that is why I saw him going.
I asked of his where about but he told me he hasn’t been home since yesterday.
In fact I was a sad because I used the money I was supposed to use to pay my rent” “Oh God what I’m I going to tell my wife,she advised me but I didn’t listen” he cried.
Few minutes later his mother called saying his landlord has started parking your clothes out .
He told his mother he was stranded at CP Kasoa so his mother should send him money via MoMo he later received the money and had to take transport back home.
