Mr. Thomas Kusi-Boafo, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Public Sector Reforms, has stated that Ghanaians cannot put their trust in former President John Dramani Mahama for better economic management, as some have suggested.
He claims that even as president, the former president never handled the country’s economy.
Mr Kusi-Boafo disclosed to Agya Wusu on Hot 93.9FM’s political talk show ‘Dwene Ho Bio’ that the IMF ran our economy under the rule of John Dramani Manama.
Those pushing for the IMF to intervene in Ghana’s economy, he said, are advocating nothing more than tougher measures to freeze employment and other social interventions implemented by the current administration.
He went on to say that if the former president had a solution to today’s economic issues, he would have implemented it while in office.
Mr Kusi-Boafo then urged Ghanaians to accept the introduction of the E-levy bill in order to help the government produce cash so that it can begin building roads, creating more jobs, and reducing the country’s massive debts.
