Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, the Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has stated that while John Mahama is unable to engage in academic debates, he excels in ‘bugabuga’ action.
Chairman Wontumi of the NPP said that, Mahama’s reputation as a politician has been ruined, causing him to make urgent repairs in order to give the idea that he can compete with Vice President Dr. Bawumia in intellectual arguments.
Chairman Wontumi remarked, “John Mahama is a man you may describe as an intellect; he is good with the ‘bugabuga’ stuff, but if you put him in a room to speak, you would see he is just empty.”
Mr. Mahama said that “being a pandemic, COVID-19 affected nearly every country on earth, including our West African neighbors with which we share similar economic features” at an event organized by the opposition National Democratic Congress dubbed “Ghana at a Crossroads.”
“Yet, neighboring nations like Cote d’Ivoire, Togo, Benin, Guinea, Nigeria, Liberia, Senegal, and Sierra Leone have emerged relatively uninjured from this pandemic and with comparably stronger fundamentals than ours.”
Chairman Wontumi, on the other hand, chastised Mr. Mahama for lying, claiming that he seeks to shield himself from the “terrible controversies” that have rocked his government.
He asked, “Can he now tell us the whole narrative regarding GYEEDA, SADA, and the Hope City project?”
