A leading member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Gabby Otchere Darko has reacted to the appointment of Dr Bernard Okoe Boye as the Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA).
He said loyalty pays therefore, all members of the NPP must remain loyal.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed former Member of Parliament for Ledzokuku, Dr Okoe Boye as the CEO of the NHIA.
His appointment takes effect on May 3.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Chief of Staff Akosua Frema Osei-Opare on Thursday, April 21.
Dr Okoe Boye served as a Deputy Minister of Health in President Akufo-Addo’s first term in office.
Reacting to this appointment in a tweet, Gabby said “In politics if you react badly to a disappointment you may end up disappointing yourself forever. Let your loyalty to your party be your perpetual inspiration. Stay loyal. No matter what, Keep playing your part in the fortunes of your party. Loyalty pays.”
