Let’s Make NPP Attractive To Break The 8 – Akwesi Osei To Party Members

Mr. Akwesi Osei Agyei, a New Patriotic Party (NPP) aspiring National Chairman, has stated that the party must unite to break the eight-year cycle.

In a press conference on Tuesday, February 22 to announce his intention to become the NPP’s next National Chairman, the former Foreign Affairs Minister, who is also a former Member of Parliament for the Ashanti Region’s Ejisu-Juaben Constituency, praised party stalwarts for their dedication to the party’s tradition, particularly in the run-up to the 2020 general election.

“It is an honor for me to express my gratitude to the New Patriotic Party’s ever-cherished gallant men and women for their tireless efforts in devotion to our great tradition, the New Patriotic Party (NPP), toward our electoral wins, particularly in the 2020 general elections.” I honestly feel that both executive and non-executive members deserve appreciation and reward” he stated.

To break the eight, the prospective chairman suggested, the NPP must appoint experienced and mature leaders with the knowledge to return to the party’s tradition, rekindle the spirit of old, and defend the great party’s ideals of service, sacrifice, and reward.

Mr. Osei-Agyei promised to promote internal democracy, empower the grassroots, and cultivate consensus building within the party.

He also urged party stalwarts to consciously unite the NPP in order to make it formidable and appealing in order to break the 8.

“We need to intentionally unite the NPP in order to make it formidable and appealing in order to break the eight,” he stated.
