Lady recounts on how a graduate made up to GH₵5,000 by using okada for delivery after University

Few days ago, the former President John Mahama  said he will legalise the Okada business (commercial motorbike transport services) should he win the 7 December 2020 polls.
Okada serves as the main means of transport for so many communities the most remote and rural parts of the country such as northern Ghana even though they are also popular in the big cities due to the convenience they afford users in terms of beating traffic and has been the source of livelihood for many people in the country.
 A lady called Princess Zaato took to her social  media handle to let the world know how she came across and work with a University graduate  using okada.
Below is what she wrote;
Today I told my delivery guy I was going to post him on social media. Early this year I was looking for a delivery person to do my delivery for me I got contact from some people which didn’t pull through. One day one of my customers sent a delivery guy from Tema to pick some products for her. I gave directions to my place and he came. He was very polite and respectful and very patient. I took his number and told him he was going to do delivery for me also.
Located in Tema he is one of the best delivery guys I have worked with. When he got sick few months ago and I got different delivery guys to do delivery for me I nearly lost those customers because their behavior and high charges were too much.
Anytime this gentleman sends an item to any of my customers the next time the person wants something he ask of him again.
After school he decided to use his national service savings to get a bike after looking for a job for some time. Being the oldest child with younger siblings he decided to do something for himself.
And I’m not the only person he works with. His charges are so moderate because he is in Tema and I’m in Botwe but his delivery including pick up is far cheaper than delivery people I tried in Madina self.
Now trying to set an office so that he can expand his business this guy is just focus already taking care of his siblings in school.
I keep saying this the money you are looking for is in the job you don’t ever want to do. How many fresh university graduates make 5000 cedis as salary. If you are not getting a job after school look around and create an opportunity for your self you might be surprise the amount of money you will be making . .go out and chase your dreams. she added;
