KNUST students develop device to notify property owners of fires [WATCH]

Some students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology have developed a device, which they say will promptly alert property owners of any fire outbreaks on their property.

This cooperative effort is headed on the KNUST side by Computer Engineering Department to boost fire service system if any fire outbreaks on properties.

Less expensive materials and technology were used in developed the device. “The results and analysis of the device performance using the ‘mobile phone’ test showed that it will promptly alert property owners of any fire outbreak by sound making, SMS and phone calls depending on phone numbers provided in the system.
