Ken Ofori should’ve been flown to National Cathedral for treatment – Yayra Koku

Social media communicator of the oppostion National Democratic Congress (NDC), Yayra Koku says Ken Ofori-Attah should have been flown to the national cathedral for treatment rather than the US.

According to him, the former Finance Minister and his government made no investment in the health sector but rather pumped money into the construction of the National Cathedral.

He is therefore of the view that since Ken and his government decided to invest in a cathedral instead of health facilities, it would have been good if he was flown to the cathedral for the treatment he needs.

“I was expecting Ken Ofori Atta to fly to the National Cathedral for treatment because his cousin who happens to be the Mother Serpent of Corruption told Ghanaians that building hospitals and equipping them were not his priority, but the Cathedral was his priority,” he wrote in a facebook post.

Yesterday, February 14, 2021, the Ministry of Finance issued a press release to inform Ghanaians about the evacuation of Ken Ofori-Atta to the United States for treatment.

His evacuation comes after he is said to be suffering from complications related to the deadly coronavirus which he contracted and survived weeks ago.

Meanwhile, many Ghanaians have wished him a quick recovery whiles others too argue that he should have just been treated in the country as there are also able hospitals such the University of Ghana Medical Center in the country.

Popular social commentator and President of think tank, IMANI Africa, Mr. Franklin Cudjoe has also wished the finance minister designate well and urged Ghanaians to keep him in their thoughts and prayers.
