Raymond Ablorh, a communication expert, has requested President Akufo-Addo to fire Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta if he does not quit honorably since he has shown ineptitude.
Mr. Ablorh believes Ghana’s Finance Minister has ruined the country’s economy.
Ken Ofori-Atta has brought everything to a halt for him.
If the Ghanaian constitution allows it, he wants the Vice President to be nominated as Finance Minister in his stead.
He claimed that running a private company is not the same as running a country’s economy.
If the President cannot appoint the Vice President because of the constitution, he argued, the President must appoint someone else to run Ghana’s Finance Ministry.
“If the Constitution doesn’t allow such appointment, the President should look elsewhere. NPP is a big party. They should have somebody better than Ofori Atta.”

At this stage, the Finance Minister must honourably resign. He’s messed everything up already and his sanctimoniously calm demeanor doesn’t mean anything anymore.
He’s collapsed the economy.
The President should appoint the Vice President as the next Finance Minister if it’s constitutionally permissible.
He’s headed the Economic Management Team since 2017 to this pit but some still think he’s in control of nothing so the President should allow him to bring his expertise to bear on our economic and fiscal management more explicitly.
If the Constitution doesn’t allow such appointment, the President should look elsewhere. NPP is a big party. They should have somebody better than Ofori Atta.
Managing one’s private business well doesn’t necessarily mean they can public finances and economy.
Don’t be ashamed to admit that Ken Ofori Atta has failed to manage our finances competently.
