Jubilee House Policeman arrested in a police recruitment scam

A police inspector at the presidency identified as Isaac Oppong has been arrested for engaging in a police recruitment scam.

The suspect currently in police custody according to confirmed sources available, was reported to have taken various sums of money from prospective police recruits ranging from GHS3,500 and GHS7,000 under the guise of getting them enlisted.

Police investigators who received complaints from some of the victims about the nefarious activities of Inspector Isaac Oppong proceeded to the Police Hospital and identified nine (9) victims and also arrested the culprit.

The victims during interrogation confirmed having paid various sums of money ranging between GHS3, 500 and GHS7000 to the said culprit for the enlistment,

A cash the sum of GHS6, 400.00 being money paid for the medical examinations was retrieved from the suspect who is currently in the custody of the Cantoments Police.
