The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts has appointed actor, John Dumelo as tourism ambassador of Ghana.
The actor made the appointment known in a post on Instagram Wednesday.
John Dumelo made the announcement with a photograph of himself and Mrs. Elizabeth Ofosu-Agyare, Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts.
He said, “Happy to be appointed tourism ambassador by the Minister of tourism. I’m happy to promote Tourism in Ghana and also sell Ghana to the rest of the world. #exploreghana #melomoment #melotourist”.
Before his appointment, John has been at forefront of highlighting the tourism potentials of Ghana. He has travelled to several tourist sites including the famous Larabanga Mosque in the Northern region.
Earlier this month, Mrs Ofosu-Agyare hinted that the tourism ministry was looking at making Abraham Attah Ghana’s tourism ambassador.
The minister, speaking at the launch of the 11th Kkwahu Paragliding Festival, noted that the Beast of No Nation star had made Ghana proud and deserved to be celebrated.
