Mr. Paul Awentami Afoko has expressed his deepest condolences to the immediate and extended families of Mr. Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey the immediate past National Chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) who died in London on Sunday morning.

The elected National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Paul A. Afoko, has learnt with shock the passing on of the immediate past National Chairman of the NPP, Mr. Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey in London this morning.
The sad news of Jake’s passing has robbed Mr. Afoko of a very good friend and advisor on the affairs of the NPP.
Mr. Afoko shares in the pain of the immediate and extended families and expresses his condolences to them accordingly.
Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey handed over the mantle as national chairman to Mr. Afoko in April 2014.
As the party mourns the death of a stalwart like Jake, Mr. Afoko wishes to remind all party members to reflect over the positive contribution by our former national chairman to the development of our party and country especially in the 2000 general elections and his contribution afterwards in the government of His Excellency J.A. Kufuor’s administration between 2001 and 2008.
May the soul of our departed national chairman rest in perfect peace.
