Multiple awards winner and model, Adina born Adina Thembi Ndamse has revealed that she has paid her dues as a musician in the industry therefore she’s worth mentoring others to achieve their career ambitions.
“I have paid some dues and I’m continuing to pay but I feel that when it came for some people to be selected as judges they thought about the fact that I have also participated in a singing reality show before which is stars of the future and by the grace of God I won.
Speaking in an exclusive interview on Cape Coast-based Kastle FM with Amansan Krakye, Adina revealed that her past experience as a reality show contestant puts her in position to mentor others.
She divulged “All the stages that the contestants are going through is not something new to me because I have been through that before and I know exactly how nervous they can be especially with song choices and how to compose yourself.
“But I’m sure that when they were looking for judges they thought of someone who is relevant today and maybe someone who has experienced what the contestants are going through”, she added on the Kastle Drive.
Adina also said that she’s proud of the efforts she’s making in trying to shape the music career of the contestants and that is what she’s also using to contribute her quota as dues in the music industry.
“They say if you want to advise people you need go through them to see what they’re going through, you have to leave their lives with them to understand them better that’s the best way to help them out.
She concluded “So I’m sure they know that I have been through the shoes of the contestants before so I’m part of the people who can contribute to their well-being and by the grace of God last year the one who won came from my team so I’m proud of myself and how far I’m going and I’m still paying my dues.”
