It’s clear presidential election was stolen for Akufo-Addo – Mzbel [video]

Ghanaian Hiplife artist, Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, popularly known as Mzbel,is insisting the 2020 presidential poll was rigged to favour the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Mzbel is among ardent supporters of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) who have expressed deep mistrust of the final results of the 2020 presidential election.

Speaking on Asaase Radio’s Between Hours hosted by Naa Ashorkor on Friday, January 15, the celebrated highlife singer claimed the NDC won the presidential election.

”I feel like our democracy has been thrown away somewhere because it’s clear that we won the election – the presidential especially, we won,” Mzbel asserted.

”And looking at what happened recently in parliament, it’s clear that it was a stolen verdict in favour of the NPP …
what happened in parliament confirms that we have every right to [to go to court],” she emphasised.

The 16 Years singer indicated that although she supports the NDC’s decision to challenge the ”fictitious” results of the 2020 general elections at the Supreme Court, she is skeptical about a positive outcome in favour of the party.

Mzbel, however, revealed that she has no political aspirations as she noted that she’s contributing to the NDC by speaking to issues that serve the party’s interest.
