Actor John Dumelo has questioned whether religion and progress are related as he think Ghanaians believe in tithing but don’t want to pay taxes for better development.
He observes that although Ghanaians must perform physical labor, the nation places a greater emphasis on praying than on laboring to assure output.
In a tweet that he sent to his followers, John Dumelo made a statement.
The businessman claimed that recently, industries across the nation had been turned into churches where people believed in giving a higher tithe but opposed paying taxes.
With this, John Dumelo thinks the country’s development will continue to suffer.
“Is there a link btn religion & development? Do Ghanaians spend more time praying for Ghana to be better than actually making the physical effort to make things better? We are converting factories to churches and paying more tithes than taxes. Is that the right approach?” John Dumelo shared on Twitter.
