Kennedy Agyapong, a representative for Assin Central in parliament, has made public statements about his ambition to run for president on the platform of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), asserting that he is the most qualified person to do so.
Because of his altruism, honesty, love of people, and most importantly, his desire to better the country, he believes he is the finest candidate to represent the party in the upcoming general elections.
Kennedy Ohene Agyapong predicts that the NPP will be unsuccessful in any attempt to replace Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the vice president, or Alan Kyerematen, the minister of commerce and industry. He claimed that in order for the NPP to maintain power and break the eight-year electoral cycle’s curse,
The party won’t benefit [if the NPP selects Bawumia or Alan] At the NPP national delegates meeting at the Accra Sports Stadium, he told news media, “I feel like I’m the one who can break the eight.
The brash politician thinks that people are ready to support him due of his traits and demeanor.
Ghanaians view me as different from true politicians, who are constantly considering the next election and hence unable to speak the truth. Ghanaians think of me as a businessman who is brave, tells it like it is, cares about common people through charitable endeavors, and speaks the truth. They have tried every profession and are now interested in trying business. “I am capable.”
Mr. Agyapong criticized his political colleagues for frequently placing personal interests ahead of societal advancement while highlighting the NPP’s difficult times in the elections of 2024.
“To be honest, it will be challenging to break the eight because, regardless of how well your government performs, it is extremely perilous for the current administration to win a third term. They need a new face that cares about the people and the country’s progress instead of a politician who is constantly considering the next election and is, as a result, unable to make the best choice since doing so will be like handing power to the NDC. They will support me because of this.”
“During the NDC era, I declared that any government that requests assistance from the IMF has failed. Do you expect me to change my mind if my government is heading to the IMF? I won’t be taken seriously by anyone. I continue to maintain that the NPP government has failed.
Choose me, and I’ll change this country so that everyone is happy. In the upcoming general election in 2024, I am the clear favorite. Ghana must be totally freed from oppressive rule.
