Ghana’s incumbent president in the person of Akufo Addo has cried out highlighting the bad treatment his countrymen are subjecting him to in reference to verbal abuse.
To the best Knowledge of President Akufo Addo, he remains the most vilified political leader in the country.
He bemoaned that some media houses and private organizations purposely publish distasteful news about him to tarnish his reputation and records.
“I find it ironic that the presidency of a man who has been and continues to be daily the most vilified political figure of his generation can be accused of presiding over a culture of silence”, he said this at a special congregation in his honour at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) over the weekend.
According to Akufo-Addo, his presidency has been constantly bad-mouthed, vilified with harsh criticism from Ghanaians and political opponents yet he will do his possible to change the fortunes of Ghana for good despite illogical critiques.
As a reminder, Akufo Addo is a Ghanaian politician who is the current president of the Republic of Ghana. He has been in office since 7 January 2017. He was re-elected for his second term which will end on January 6th, 2025.
