Lynx Entertainment artiste, Kuami Eugene, has in a latest response to his critics, said their accusations that he stole the lyrics of a Jamaican dancehall artiste does not rob him of sleep.
The Angela hitmaker, in a recent episode is alleged to have ‘stolen’ the dancehall vibes of Jamaican dancehall star, Black Coffee, YEN.com.gh reported earlier.
As expected, social media has been toasting the artiste in a merciless fashion.
While Kuami’s response suggests he’s not affected by the heat from the backlash, the bitter vibes from people have elicited a response from him.
In an interview on Showbiz following his performance at Okyeame Kwame “Made In Ghana” album launched days ago, Kuami stated that he is not disturbed by claims that he’s an unrepentant ‘thief’ of his colleague musician’s songs
“The things they say do not affect me in any way, I am not surprised at all. These are people who do the same thing to everybody even to their family members”, he quipped.
“they have done this to a lot of musicians, the Ofori Amponsahs and co have all had their share of these kinds of accusations so it is not really a big deal for me”, he added
GhanaCelebrities.Com reported the Angela singer to have said.
While people continue to heap praises on the highlife and afrobeats talent, he has also been mocked for not being authentic.
A close look at the two videos confirms that Kuami Eugene literally stole the songstress’s jam and style.
