Maverick dope rapper, TeePhlow known in real life as Lukeman Ekow Baidoo has disagreed with those who assert that there is a big gap between him and Medikal as far the Ghana music scene is concerned.
Lately, Medikal and TeePhlow have taken to Twitter to engage in what looks like the next big beef in Ghana’s music industry after they took swipes at each other to prove their point at all costs for all to see.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Cape Coast-based Kastle FM’s Amansan Krakye, TeePhlow was asked how he responds to those who claim that he’s lagging behind the likes of Medikal as far as hit songs and fame are concerned in the music scene.
He responded “What I would say is that all hands are not equal. And when I look around and see that what my colleagues are doing is progressing I become happy for them.”
“When I see that Kinaata has done a dope collaboration with Patoranking I become happy. When I see that from Medikal and everyone I get excited because it’s a motivation for all of us,” he added.
“It’s not that as for me I’m lagging behind, I’m not lagging behind in what sense. I said that the goals we set for ourselves thinking that we’ve been left behind by our friends, maybe those are not the goals set for you by God,” he said on Kastle Drive.
“So why the need to rush in life. Sometimes it is said that some people will start for others to follow but those who follow might even have a wonderful story to tell. As long as you don’t stop whatever that you’re doing and you do it really well without stopping by all means continue doing it,” he continued.
“And I’m saying this to everybody else in the music scene that is trying to do something for themselves. Don’t let some comments like this kill your vim because anyone that is progressing is doing so because of the dint of hardworking,” he told the host.
He concluded “So you should also continue working hard and it only takes one song just one song for your destiny to change.”
