IGP declares 2 policemen wanted for robbing gold dealer of GH¢1,211,790 using police van

The Tesano Division of the Ghana Police Service in Accra is on a hunt for two suspects believed to be policemen who robbed two Burkinabes of $209,172 being cash from the sale of 3 kilograms of pure gold.

Police investigators reveal that the suspected policemen on board a service vehicle with registration number GP 3513, collected all the money from one Sulenan Sodre a Burkinabe resident at Classic Guest House Lapaz at gunpoint and bolted.

According to them, a certain man who identified as Alhaji Abdul bought three (3) kilograms of Gold worth $209,172 USD from him and his brother.

After the payment and on their way back to their Guest House they were attacked by the suspects whose identity is yet to be revealed.

Meanwhile, the police command has disclosed that investigation is ongoing to know where that particular service vehicle is stationed.
