Award-winning Ghanaian dancehall musician, Livingstone Etse Satekla who is widely known as Stonebwoy in a recent interview disclosed that had it not been the fact that he is doing music, he would have become a banker or a doctor.
He made these comments on Joy Prime TV in an interview that if not for music he would have probably become a banker or doctor whiles adding that being a musician is no child’s play.
Stonebwoy used the opportunity to applaud some A list artists in Ghana for the efforts they put in their music, particularly Shatta Wale, Samini, Sarkodie, Kidi and co.
Answering a question on whether he promotes his music on digital platforms, Stonebwoy answered in the affirmative although he wishes things would be better than they are now.
He said:
One day at a time, it can only get better. The streaming thing will have to grow properly in Africa, and that’s when we will see the worth of our works.
We as Ghanaian artistes sacrifice a lot to keep going. I am not going to lie. If you see any Ghanaian artiste moving the mark, shout outs to Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Samini and the top artistes. And big ups to the K’s – Kwesi Arthur, Kidi, King Promise And Co.”
