IF LAW STUDENTS ARE BRUTALIZED – WHO ARE YOU TO DEMONSTRATE IN GHANA – A Plus

The NPP & NDC know that, the constitution gives us the right to demonstrate and we can use it against them so they’ve found a solution to it.

They politicized the police force and use it as a tool to brutalize you with all sorts of unnecessary weapons even if you are matching peacefully. After that, they find one big story to cover it up and everybody forgets.

Law students went to demonstrate peacefully for their rights but were sprayed with hot water, some arrested with a reporter shot in the arm. What happened next? A big story, #Sexforgrades came up and everybody is talking about it. Your case is dead and gone. Forget!!!

When I got to school on Thursday, some of the organizers invited me to join the demonstration. I told them to forget because it won’t get anywhere. I told them to call me after the demonstration if they needed bail them because they will be brutalized and arrested. (Prophet Kwame dey see pass Obofour ✌🏼😂)

Law students, just join TPP. (www.facebook.com/thepeoplesprojectg. Thepeoplesprojectgh.com)
Times have changed, let’s change along and use the right methods to make demands. The only thing the Ghanaian politician fears is losing an election. They fear organized bodies with large numbers and a common interest. There’s no need to parade your nice nice bodies to be brutalized by some unprofessional police officers who don’t understand the new world order. You can sit in the comfort of your homes and make demands and they’ll listen.

Whether CSE is necessary or not, when the outrage by the people started and the Ghana Pentecostal and charismatic counsel (GPCC) added their voice by threatening to use it’s 8 million membership to campaign against the government, what happened? Didn’t they respond quickly by saying they won’t do anything like that? Have you forgotten what happened when we came together to condemn the building of a new chamber of paliament? Power belongs to the people and you law students know it. 👇🏾👇🏾👇🏾

1992 constitution

1 (1) *The Sovereignty of Ghana resides in the people of Ghana in whose name and for whose welfare the powers of government are to be exercised in the manner and within the limits laid down in this Constitution.*

The problem we have in Ghana is that, a united minority has taken turns to scam a divided majority. For once in 62 years, let’s unite the majority against NPP and NDC and make demands in writing before we vote.

Join TPP and to make developmental demands. If they refuse to listen to the voice of the people, we will vote for any independent candidate. It’s not a waste of vote. That’s what NDC & NPP will tell you. It is a trick to get your vote. If we vote for an independent candidate, even if he/she does not win, the election will go to a second round because none of them will get the required 50+1. We can all then make our demands in the interest of the Nation, including the reforms you need as law students.

At that point they will be desperate, they will welcome you, they will listen to you. They will treat you special. They will need you more than themselves. When you ask them to say they are fools, they will say we are *stupid fools.* They will pamper you. At that point, ask them to put everything they agree to do to get your support in the second round on paper and sign and they will do it. Make sure your agreement is witnessed by civil society groups, the clergy, traditional rulers, the judiciary, the local and international media, IMF, world bank etc. Make it difficult for them to say one thing and do another after getting your votes.

These guys have scammed us for 62 years. Let’s come together and build a national bargaining power and use it to demand development for Ghana. TPP wants a 20 years plan, a new constitution and an end to exgratia. Law students want reforms, other organized bodies have demands.

Don’t demonstrate. Ghanaian leaders are primitive. They will kill you. Even China, the most autocratic country in the world treats the Hong Kong better than Ghanaian leaders would. The politicians do not fear demonstrations, they fear losing an election. So let’s leverage on our power to make or break them to demand change and a better Ghana.

*Every vote must be cast ad valorem.* Not because you are NDC or NPP.
