The Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Kwame Bafo, who is also known as Abronye has fired critics campaigning for the country to be fixed. According to him, some of the critics were born in America and hold citizenships and so if the country is hot for those people, they can go back in peace.
His attack on Wuntumi Television’s Nsempa fie program was purposely targeted at leaders of the Fix the country demonstration with a special mention to Efia Odo. According to Kwame Bafo, Efia Odo holds American citizenship and cannot demand the government to fix the country.
His comment follows a recent brouhaha between the conveners of the fix the country demonstration and the police that ended at the High Court. Some of the conveners, including Efia Odo were arrested along the way. Efia Odo has been one of the crusaders, inciting other Ghanaians to join the movement. But Kwame Bafo believes that Efia Odo can go back to America if she is not comfortable in Ghana.
“You said your mother gave birth to you in Ghana and when she took you to America you opted to be a citizen there because Ghana is a bad country for you. Now you are a citizen there so go back to America and stop deceiving people to join you in your the fix the country Demonstration”. Abronye alleged.
He added that Efia Odo has been living in America and only decided to be in Ghana when NDC won Power. He alleges that Efia Odo now has a house bought by some big men and because they are no more in power, she is ranting.
“You were living in America and decided to relocate to Ghana when NDC won Power. They have been taking care of you and now you have a house. So now that those goodies are not coming your way again you are against the Akufo Addo government”. He indicated.
According to Mr. Kwame Bafo, the police should allow the group to go ahead with their demonstration because it will not be successful. “But even if she wants to embark on a demonstration, let’s please allow her because she cannot hold any massive protest in this country than me. All the fix the country demonstrators were on the payroll when John Mahama was the President, so now that the money is no more coming, they are angry”. He alleged
