Rapper Okyeame Kwame has finally reacted to Charterhouse banning both Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale from the VGMAS. According to Okyeame Kwame, Charterhouse and the VGMAS board had to quickly sanction both Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale because of how the news was fast spreading in the International world so as to reduce the quick-spread and to let the World know we have laws in Ghana.
When asked on Zylofon FM what he made of the VGMAS board banning his brothers from the scheme, he said,
“There is something i like about the ban- there is no date on it, so upon good behaviour, VGMAS board will take them back. If after 2 years they still didn’t call them back to join the scheme, then i would termed it as harsh.”
He continued, “The ban was deserving. With how the news was fast spreading in the International world, and how the outside media was on our case, there has to be some punitive measures, and so, the organizers did that so as to reduce the quick-spread of the incident, and to let the World know that we have laws in Ghana’.
The VGMAS board banned Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale indefinitely and also stripped them off the awards they won on the VGMAS night.
