If all could recall during this year’s Ghana’s 63rd Independence Anniversary Celebration in the Ashanti Regional Capital, Kumasi which happens to be the first in the history of the Ashantis to hold such importance national ceremony for the first time, a photo of school children marching in Self-Acclaimed African Dancehall Artist, Shatta Wale’s branded ‘Reign’ socks surfaced the internet which received massive bragging right from the controversial dancehall act.
In the celebration of the Kwehu West Municipality, pupils of a private school identified as Christian International School based in Nkawkaw were spotted wearing Shatta Wale’s ‘Reign’ socks during march parade. The viral picture caught the attention of the dancehall artiste and went ahead to post the photo on his social media pages.
Sounding excited, the Dancehall artiste shared the photo with the caption; “Reign socks for the independence match ❤️history will always be made .. This is called branding to the highest peak”.
One lady under the post commented the school’s name and its location and in reply, Wale told her to inform the school’s headmaster that he will be visiting the school for the love shown him during the independence day celebration.
