I will not allow my kids to play for Ghana – Charles Taylor

Former Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko attacker Charles Taylor has vowed not to allow his kids play for Ghana.

Taylor took a premature retirement after battling a knee injury.

The for Ghana U17 attacker despite his immense feat in the local League with  Kotoko and Hearts of Oak had to bring his career to end after enduring chronic injuries which kept him out for more than two-years.

The 33-year-old who was recently ordained as a pastor says he will not allow his kids to play for any of the National teams.

“Me sitting here right now, if my kids knows how to play and you ask them to play for Ghana, I will prohibit them”, Taylor told Sunyani-based JLife Radio

“Because of what happened to me, I won’t allow them to play for any of the national teams or even in the Ghanaian league because there is no benefit in it.

“After what happened to me during the CHAN tournament, not even a single member of the Ghana Football Association was able to call me to ask of the condition of my wounded leg after the competition, so I’ve realize there is no need dying for Ghana”. Taylor added

Taylor represented Ghana the 1999 FIFA U17 World Cup in New Zealand and also played for the Black Meteors team at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens (Greece).
