Reverend Father James Buah Nkwantabisa, the Priest in Charge of Saint Mary’s Parish in the Catholic Diocese of Koforidua, has threatened to lead a Demonstration if members of Parliament try to legalize lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT+) in Ghana.
According to him, the Catholic Church is steadfast and will never bend to the dictates of the world by endorsing homosexual practices in Ghana.
Reverend Father James Buah Nkwantabisa, speaking in Asamankese on the First Sunday of Advent, urged Christians not to be conformed to the pattern of this world, but to be transformed by the renewing of their minds, so that they can test and approve what God’s will is–his good, pleasing, and perfect will.
He emphasized the importance of making good use of human freedom in accordance with God’s desire to dictate God’s love and responsible freedom.
“Man wants to Mary,” the priest remarked. Why did God make man and woman? We should stop talking about them because we are promoting them.”
Reverend Father Buah Nkwantabisa said people are killing their colleagues for rituals because of freedom and human rights, adding that Ghanaians should give up the easiest way to make money and instead suffer to gain.
He stated that authorities must not misuse their power and that the country’s laws must be applied equally to all citizens.
